Montrose's Tibetan Monks Fundraiser

The scope of this fundraiser is to help cover travel and other expenses for Montrose's resident Tibetan Monks Gesche Phuntsok and Monk Thinley. It is not about religion, politics or saving the Tibetan culture from extinction. This event is being sponsored by the Asanga Institute in Montrose. To learn more about them, go to their website, http://www.asangainstitute.org. Seventy percent of the proceeds generated by this art sale will be donated to the Asanga Institute.

All artwork shown on this page are original, framed oil paintings located at my studio; #7 North Cascade Ave, Ste. "F", Montrose, CO 81041. (Entrance to this studio is located on the Cascade side of the Hallmark Store Building.)

Details of the Sale

Two paintings will be sold by raffle. Tickets will be on sale from my studio until 1:00pm Mountain Time, June 7th. Drawings for the two paintings will be held at that time. You need not be present to win and I will accept phone orders anytime up until 1:00pm Mountain Time, June 7th. Call (970) 209-6223 (see photos below for ticket price details.)

Six paintings will be offered for sale at 66% off of the retail (gallery) price.

All paintings will be on view during the "Art Walk," June 6, 5:30 to 8:30pm at the studio. Paintings may be seen by appointment anytime between June 2 and June 7. Call (970) 209-6223.

Paintings may be preshown and presold during the week of June 2-7. All paintings will be held for the "Art Walk." After June 7, any unsold paintings can be viewed on this page.

Gesche Phuntsok will conduct 2 drawings at 1:00pm, Mountain Time, June 7th for the raffle paintings.

We can only accept cash or checks made to The Asanga Institute.
